Sara K. Ahmed is the author of Being the Change: Lessons and Strategies to Teach Social Comprehension and the coauthor, alongside Harvey "Smokey" Daniels, of Upstanders: How to Engage Middle School Hearts and Minds with Inquiry.
As a globally recognized author, speaker, and staff developer, Sara bridges literacy, inquiry, and social identity through comprehensive professional growth and curriculum development. Drawing on her extensive international teaching and coaching experience, she specializes in lab classroom residencies. In these collaborative spaces, educators and students co-construct compassionate learning environments while integrating social comprehension strategies into daily practice.
